This role will use, build, and develop innovative actuarial modeling concepts to assist strategically on trend, benefit design and pricing support for all Prime’s lines of business (commercial, Medicare and Medicaid). This role will also provide actuarial support in complex projects that are highly visible to senior leadership and across the organization.ResponsibilitiesOwn, build, support, and maintain financial and complex actuarial modelsLead, perform, and review data analyses, reporting, and projectionsLead, perform, and review complex ad hoc pharmacy data mining and analyses to help investigate and answer challenging questions regarding actuarial data and conceptsCollaborate with Underwriters, other areas of Prime, and senior leaders on pricing initiatives, data analyses, and the RFP processPresent results and analyses to key stakeholders, senior management, and clientsMentor Actuarial team members to enhance actuarial knowledgeEnsure work is consistent with actuarial standards, as applicableOther duties as assignedMinimum QualificationsBachelor’s degree in Math, Actuarial Science, Economics or Finance5 years of actuarial work experience to include 3 years in a healthcare organization or PBMMust be eligible to work in the United States without need for work visa or residency sponsorshipAdditional QualificationsAdvanced level of proficiency in Excel; intermediate level of proficiency in SAS, SQL, or VBAExcellent quantitative, problem solving, and analytical skillsSelf-motivated with the ability to balance and follow-up on multiple projects with attention to detailsExcellent verbal and written communication skillsExcellent presentation skillsStrong project management and organizational skillsPreferred Qualifications5 years of actuarial work experience in a healthcare organization or PBMPrevious experience pricing Commercial, Medicare or Medicaid lines of businesses3 years of experience in SAS, SQL, or VBAPrevious experience building and/or improving actuarial models or processesMinimum Physical Job RequirementsConstantly required to sit, use hands to handle or feel, talk and hearFrequently required to reach with hands and armsOccasionally required to stand, walk and stoop, kneel, and crouchOccasionally required to lift and/or move up to 10 pounds and occasionally lift and/or move up to 25 poundsSpecific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception and ability to adjust focusReporting StructureReports to Senior Principal in the Finance departmentPotential pay for this position ranges from $94,700.00 - $151,300.00 based on experience and skills.
