In this role, you will manage and oversee the SEC reporting for a non-traded REIT, ensuring compliance with US GAAP and SEC requirements. You will be responsible for maintaining high standards of financial accuracy, monitoring internal controls, and recommending process improvements. Key responsibilities include coordinating, preparing, and filing financial statements and disclosures, while also assessing the financial impacts of significant transactions.The successful candidate will serve as a primary liaison for external auditors, managing audit timelines efficiently and acting as a subject matter expert in fund financial reporting.To thrive in this role, candidates should have at least 7 years of experience in real estate accounting, preferably from real estate private equity firms, non-traded REITs, public REITs, or reputable Big 4 audit firms. SEC reporting experience is essential, including familiarity with Form 10-K, 10-Q, 8-K, and other transactional offerings. A strong foundation in technical accounting, especially regarding historical cost and fair value accounting for real estate, is required.
