This role is pivotal in the external reporting process, with a focus on enhancing, implementing, and managing periodic SEC reporting processes. The successful candidate will be a CPA with a strong background in public company SEC reporting, particularly within the real estate industry. Responsibilities include partnering with the CFO and Controller to meet public company accounting and reporting requirements, producing and filing consolidated financial statements in compliance with US GAAP and SEC regulations, and overseeing all aspects of external reporting, accounting, internal controls, and interactions with external auditors and third-party service providers. Applicants for this role at the company should have a minimum of 5 years' of public accounting experience in SEC reporting, an undergraduate degree in accounting, and CPA qualifications. A strong real estate accounting background with comprehensive knowledge of US GAAP is essential, and experience in fair value reporting is a plus. The role demands the ability to work in a fast-paced environment, meet deadlines, and maintain relationships with various professional service providers.
