Assistant Branch Manager

Pay Range: $21.66 - $28.90
As a strong support to the Branch Manager, the assistant manager supervises daily activities to ensure quality customer service standards are being met. Maintains an appropriate focus on sales activities & related results. Monitors, identifies and controls compliance risks and operational exposure. Assists with the selection of training needs, coaching and training of branch staff. Exhibits leadership in promoting the banks positive image in the communities in which they are located. Assists with the management of the branch budget. Provides superior quality customer service and a positive banking experience for customers.
Education and Experience:
4 year college degree or equivalent retail, retail banking, or financial services experience 3 years retail banking experience preferred Business development & outside business sales experience preferred Skills and Abilities:
Excellent listening & communication skills are necessary. Organizational, interpersonal and customer relation skills. Ability to function in a fast paced, ever-changing environment. Leadership skills. Problem solving/decision making skills. PC Skills. Unique Job Characteristics and Requirements:
NMLS Certification required or ability to obtain upon hire.
Tasks Performed:
50% Builds customer relationships by providing services to customers, including but not limited to: opening accounts, taking loan applications and referring customer inquiries to appropriate service partner when necessary. 25% Assists the branch manager in the selection & development of a competent staff by participating in training and coaching in the areas of sales and service. Responsible for sales coaching and executing sales activities in achieving individual and team goals. Assists with annual reviews, helps establish individual sales goals and proposes salary recommendations to the manager for approval. 10% Provides supervisory oversight of programs to proactively identify, monitor and control compliance risk and operational exposure. 5% Assists with the management of the branch budget. 5% Participates in the community emphasizing CRA responsiveness. 5% Other duties as required. Physical Requirements:
Communicate effectively with internal and/or external customers Stationary 50% of time Move about within or between locations Bend, Twist, Crouch, Squat Move Objects to Maximum 20 lbs
