This roles main function is to evaluate the work request, scope appropriately, determine how to perform the work providing written instruction, and order/pick all necessary parts to complete the work. The Maintenance Planner will work closely with Maintenance Technicians, Reliability Technicians, and Engineers within their assigned business units to properly scope and prioritize work requests. These tasks will help the team maximize asset capability, availability and reliability to help the business meet its goals. Support, implement, and maintain food safety and quality practices as required through SQF and our Construction and Repair process. ? Will be responsible for completing job duties in a manner that supports all plant safety and environmental practices.DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIESPlanningDevelop Standardized Work Orders (STWO). Quality, comprehensive STWOs reduce Planning workload when applied to repeat jobs. They also improve the quality of planned jobs, minimize errors, maximize plan details, and drastically reduce time needed to prepare a job plan.Review PMs for effectiveness and recommend changes to PMs and/or creation of new PMs to support the goals of the program and the business.Plan equipment and facility repair jobs as assigned. Planning these jobs needs to be in adherence to current applicable company standards. When applicable, the Planned job shall include, but is not limited to:Step by step procedures.Specifications, standards, torques, and tolerances.Required and potential parts.Special tools and equipment.Craft or crafts needed and estimated time for each.Permits and forms, and project managementSchedulingDevelop and refine the work scheduling process, so that an accessible daily, weekly and rolling four-week schedule is effectively provided for the site. Combine ready to schedule work orders, engineering projects and small modifications into a unified and easy-to-understand formatCreate and lead in the development and execution of a methodical and structured scheduling process, with appropriate meetings designed to merge work demands with the available resources. The schedule shall provide resources to execute the most important work first, based on equipment criticality, priority and work order age.Participate in and refine the daily work review meetings to include updates to the schedule on the live document, so the scope is clear to all users.Utilize the computerized maintenance management system (CMMS) and other software tools to develop schedules and reports.Qualifications:EDUCATION, SKILLS AND ABILITIESRequiredA minimum of 5+ years of experience in a production maintenance environment; Food industry preferredA demonstrated initiative for assuming projects outside of core job responsibilities is preferredSolid computer skills (MS Office, Word, Power Point and Excel)Skill for recognition of new opportunities and problem solvingAbility to work in a multi-task, deadline-oriented environmentExcellent communication skills, both oral and writtenStrong organizational skills with attention to detailMust be willing to work flexible hours and shiftsMust be willing to attend off-site trainingAbility on a daily basis, walking, standing, crouching, lifting (25-35lbs), twisting, climbing, reachingThis role requires a comprehensive understanding of current CMMS/EAM programs, and the ability to utilize its functionality.WORKING CONDITIONSAreas of facility may include controlled temperature zones including areas with refrigeration and noise levels requiring PPE.50% Facility Environment50% Office EnvironmentThe above statements are intended to describe the general nature of the work and may not include all of the responsibilities or duties required
