Technical Writer
The Institute for Clinical Research Education (ICRE) within the Department of Medicines looking for an innovative technical writer to assist in the design and development of scripts for online courses for clinical and translational science training programs. Each asynchronous course is focused around an area of professional competency essential for success in a scientific research career. These modules will be designed to meet the unique needs of underrepresented early career faculty and postdocs. The position requires strong skills in technical writing and project management. The technical writer must be able to do the following:Use research-based course design principles to help faculty create robust and engaging scriptsCreate scripts in a manner that is accurate, organized, interesting, and pedagogically soundBe comfortable learning from and working with a range of learning management systems, authoring tools, and educational technologiesManage multiple projects, including identifying steps, creating timelines, monitoring incoming work, and maintaining an organized and efficient system for tracking progress
Job Summary
Collaborates across units to write research/evidence-based materials that translate research and scientific concepts. Writes, edits, and standardizes a variety of materials and publications and adheres to style and branding guidelines. Reads relevant materials to become familiar with writing research needs.Essential Functions
