Position Overview

The Senior Director of Human Resources is a key strategic leader within the organization, responsible for developing, implementing, and overseeing human resources policies, programs, and practices that align with the company's business objectives. This role partners with the executive team to drive a comprehensive HR strategy encompassing talent acquisition, employee development, culture transformation, compliance, and risk management. As a trusted advisor, the Senior Director provides insights to foster an engaged, productive, and compliant workplace while nurturing a collaborative and inclusive company culture.

Essential FunctionsStrategic Leadership and PlanningCollaborate with senior leadership to create and implement HR strategies that support the company's mission and long-term objectives.Provide strategic counsel on organizational design, workforce planning, and talent needs, focusing on future capabilities and succession planning.Serve as a cultural steward, promoting diversity, equity, inclusion, and a positive employee experience at all levels of the organization.Talent Acquisition and RetentionOversee the development and execution of recruitment strategies to attract high-caliber talent across all roles.Develop and implement retention strategies that enhance employee engagement, including performance management systems and career development pathways.Learning and DevelopmentLead the creation of leadership development programs and learning initiatives that align with organizational goals, supporting employees' professional growth and preparing future leaders.Partner with departmental leaders to identify skill gaps and design targeted training programs that support the continuous growth and development of the workforce.Compensation, Benefits, and Total RewardsAnalyze industry trends to develop competitive compensation and benefits packages, ensuring alignment with market standards and organizational goals.Provide oversight of total rewards programs, including incentive and recognition programs, to support talent attraction and retention while maintaining internal equity.Employee Relations and ComplianceServe as a resource for complex employee relations issues, ensuring fair and compliant resolution processes, including managing investigations and implementing disciplinary actions.Maintain compliance with federal, state, and local employment laws and regulations, proactively identifying and mitigating potential legal risks.HR Technology and AnalyticsDrive HR data analytics initiatives, utilizing metrics to assess HR effectiveness, forecast workforce needs, and guide decision-making.Oversee the HR information system, ensuring accurate data management and enabling efficient HR processes.Team Leadership and DevelopmentManage and mentor HR staff, fostering a high-performance team that is focused on service excellence and continuous improvement.Set performance expectations, conduct regular evaluations, and provide development opportunities for HR team members to grow and expand their expertise.Position Qualification Requirements

EducationBachelor's degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or a related field (advanced degree preferred).ExperienceMinimum of 8-10 years of HR experience, with at least 5 years in a leadership role.Proven experience in strategic HR management, including talent acquisition, employee development, and HR compliance.Skills and AbilitiesStrong interpersonal and communication skills with the ability to influence at all organizational levels.Deep understanding of HR best practices, employment law, and compliance requirements.Proficiency in HR technology and data analytics to drive strategic insights and process improvements.
