Senior Analyst Taxation
is responsible for the preparation of state tax filings for assigned entities. The role is also responsible for state tax accruals, coordinating and responding to tax controversy matters, including state tax examinations and notice responses, assisting with insurance tax, and documenting significant tax positions. The role will require coordination and communication with other departments across the business.What you will do:Prepare quarterly and annual state income/franchise tax filingsAssist with quarterly premium tax estimates and annual premium tax return calculations and paymentsManage indirect tax calculations and related tax filingsPrepare premium tax accruals and assist with review of income tax accrualsAnalyze data throughout the preparation and/or review processesAssist with state tax examination and notice responses, including tracking, response research, coordination, and formulationDocument significant tax positions and prepare workpapers supporting tax filings and income tax accrualsParticipate in budgeting process and preparation of tax related financial projectionsCommunicate and coordinate with other departments across the business and with state auditors and service providersManage and track tax payments and refundsAd hoc tax research and documentationSpecial projects, administrative functions related to the above responsibilities, and all other duties as assignedWhat you will bring:Bachelor of Science (or equivalent) in Accounting and/or Master in TaxationCertified Public Accountant (CPA) certification, preferredTwo years of tax return complianceAt least one year of experience in accounting for income taxes (either IFRS or US GAAP)Proficient in Microsoft Office applications (Word, Excel, etc.)What will set you apart:SAP and/or Corptax experience, preferredExecution orientated; results driven cross-functional approachExcellent interpersonal and organizational skillsStrong verbal and written communication skills***Applicants must be authorized to work for any employer in the U.S. We are unable to sponsor or take over sponsorship of an employment visa at this time, including CPT/OPT.***What we offer youWe offer an array of diverse and inclusive benefits regardless of where you are in your career. The salary range above shows the typical minimum to maximum base salary range for this position in the location listed. Non-sales positions have the opportunity to participate in a bonus program. Sales positions are eligible for sales incentives, and in some instances a bonus plan, whereby total compensation may far exceed base salary depending on individual performance.
