Empower Yourself.The Senior Analyst Taxation is responsible for the preparation of income tax accruals and income tax calculations and related filings for assigned entities. The role is also responsible for coordinating and responding to tax controversy matters, including federal and state tax examinations and notice responses and documenting significant tax positions. The role will require coordination and communication with other departments across the business.What you will do:Prepare income tax accruals under multiple accounting bases, including IFRS (IAS 12) and, as applicable, either on a US GAAP (ASC 740) or insurance statutory (SSAP 101) accounting basisPrepare quarterly and annual federal and state income and/or indirect tax calculations and related filingsPrepare and review of required financial statement analyticsManage federal and state tax examination and notice responses, including tracking, response research, coordination, and formulationDocument significant tax positions and prepare work-papers supporting tax filings and income tax accrualsAssist in the budgeting and preparation of tax related financial projectionsCommunicate and coordinate with other departments across the business and with external auditors and service providersAd hoc tax research and documentationSpecial projects and other duties as assignedWhat you will bring:Bachelors of Science (or equivalent) in Accounting and/or Masters in Taxation2 - 4 years of experience in accounting for income taxes (either IFRS or US GAAP) and tax return complianceProficient in Microsoft Office applications (Word, Excel, etc.)What will set you apart:Certified Public Accountant (CPA) certification, preferredExecution orientated; results driven cross-functional approachExcellent interpersonal and organizational skillsStrong verbal and written communication skillsFinancial services and/or insurance tax and statutory accounting experience, preferredSAP and/or Corptax experience, preferred***Applicants must be authorized to work for any employer in the U.S. We are unable to sponsor or take over sponsorship of an employment visa at this time, including CPT/OPT.***What we offer youWe offer an array of diverse and inclusive benefits regardless of where you are in your career. The salary range above shows the typical minimum to maximum base salary range for this position in the location listed. Non-sales positions have the opportunity to participate in a bonus program. Sales positions are eligible for sales incentives, and in some instances a bonus plan, whereby total compensation may far exceed base salary depending on individual performance.
