We are currently seeking a Hospice Regional Admissions Coordinator in the Encino area who shares our passion for providing dignified, compassionate end-of-life care.

Shift Schedule: Full-Time, Monday - Friday (8am - 5pm)

High school diplomaSome college courses related to business administration preferredOne year experience dealing with the public via telephone or in person, preferably in a customer service or inside sales roleMust have valid driver's license, good driving record, and current auto insuranceTyping 50 words per minute, managing records/files, basic computer skills (i.e. Forms, Labels, Excel and Word)Prior hospice or palliative supportive care experience strongly preferredWhat you'll be doing:

Data entry, including keeping all admission tracking logs up to dateOvercomes initial objections to hospice services and palliative and supportive careGeneral admission coordination, including coordinating hospital dischargesManages the insurance verification and authorization processSchedules appropriate staff to meet with patient/families to discuss hospice and supportive care services in a timely mannerParticipate in related meetingsEnsure all intake documents are completed per policyExhibits empathetic communication style with patients, families, and associates, requiring the ability to remain calm and level-headed in emergenciesOther duties as assignedAnticipated pay range

$31-$33 USD
