The AWS Americas Industry Partner Solutions Architect (PSA) team is looking for an experienced Travel and Hospitality technical leader to join our team to work with our strategic partners to build new AWS T&H solutions, drive joint GTM strategy, and help Travel & Hospitality customers solve their business problems.
As the Travel and Hospitality PSA specialist for Americas you will own the technical strategy for the industry for partners in AMER. You will be responsible for building and providing reference architectures to partners, enabling partners to build new T&H solutions, building demonstrations and proofs of concept on AWS, and diving deep with T&H customers to help them choose the right partner for their business. Additional responsibilities include speaking at industry conferences, contributing meaningful strategic direction to stakeholder teams as it relates to T&H, managing strategic technical relationships with influential Technology (ISV), Consulting (G/SI), and driving CXO-level relationships with T&H customers and partners.
You will possess the deep T&H technical background that enables you to engage at the CXO level with these T&H customers and partners. You will demonstrate technical credibility as a T&H expert and interact with partners, enterprise customers and sales/field reps as the technical escalation point for partners and customers.
The position also requires a strong business acumen, along with working knowledge of the Travel & Hospitality consulting and ISV landscape. You should have a demonstrated ability to think strategically about new business and architectural models, solution building and selling, and partner enablement to help build and convey compelling value propositions for AWS customers through AWS Partners.
Strong candidates will be comfortable building proofs of concepts on AWS using modern development practices and strong coding skills in languages such as Javascript or Python. Candidates should also be strong communicators, able to demonstrate complex technical requirements in front of customers and able to manage discussions effectively.
Key job responsibilitiesWork with cross functional teams to create and execute a strategic technical plan, inclusive of enablement, practice development, and go-to market support on solutions that meet Travel and Hospitality customer needs with measurable ROI.Evangelize partners’ value proposition internally throughout AWS and externally with customers.Drive partner solutions, APN Program attainment, continuous enablement through training and certifications and go-to-market strategies for differentiation and expansion of their footprint.Establish AWS as the partner’s preferred cloud platform for Travel and Hospitality workloads.Understand the technical requirements of each partner and work closely with the internal AWS development team to guide the direction of our product offerings.Work alongside the AWS Partner Development Specialists to develop extensive executive and senior management relationships within partner organizations and become their trusted advisor.Provide the architectural guidance and recommendations necessary to promote successful engagements with software partners worldwide.Partner with Generalist SAs, Sales, Business Development and service development teams to accelerate customer adoption of partner solutions.Assist solution providers with the definition of technical strategies that will enable them to sell more of their offering on the AWS platform.Capture and share best-practice knowledge with our broader Solution Architect community.Share customer feedback to internal product management and engineering teams to help drive the future of AWS.BASIC QUALIFICATIONS
- 3+ years of design, implementation, or consulting in applications and infrastructures experience- 8+ years of specific technology domain areas (e.g. software development, cloud computing, systems engineering, infrastructure, security, networking, data & analytics) experiencePREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS
- 10+ years of IT development or implementation/consulting in the software or Internet industries experience- 10+ years industry work experience in a Line of Business technical role with a Travel or Hospitality company is strongly preferred.
