This individual will be responsible for developing and implementing strategies for improving the efficiency of the supply chain and for ensuring that all vendors and partners are meeting their performance objectives. The Supply Chain Director will also ensure that the supply chain is cost-effective, reliable, and compliant with all applicable laws and regulations. The successful candidate will have a strong understanding of supply chain management principles and must possess excellent problem-solving and communication skills. Essential Duties and Responsibilities: Develop and implement supply chain strategies in alignment with organizational objectives. Monitor and analyze supply chain metrics, such as inventory levels, cost, delivery times, and quality, to identify areas of improvement. Design and implement new processes and procedures to improve supply chain efficiency and reduce costs. Ensure compliance with all applicable laws and regulations related to supply chain operations Lead the selection and management of suppliers, vendors, and third-party logistics providers. Negotiate contracts and agreements with suppliers and vendors. Manage inventory levels and ensure timely delivery of materials and products. Protect supply chain trough diversification and other methods to ensure no disruption to production schedules Develop and implement strategies to reduce lead times and improve product availability. Monitor the performance of suppliers and vendors and take corrective action when necessary. Collaborate with internal stakeholders to ensure accurate forecasting and planning of materials and products. Maintain metrics for process improvement and management reporting.
