What You'll Do:

Develop and implement global data governance frameworks, policies, and procedures in alignment with enterprise-wide organizational goals and regulatory requirements.

Collaborate with stakeholders to define data governance objectives, strategies, and roadmaps.

Establish and manage data governance committees to ensure ongoing data governance oversight and accountability.

Create and maintain data governance documentation, including data dictionaries, data classification frameworks, and data quality standards.

Design and implement data governance controls, processes, and tools to ensure data accuracy, consistency, and security.

Conduct regular data quality assessments and audits to identify and address data issues.

Develop and deliver data governance training and awareness programs to promote a culture of data stewardship across the organization.

Collaborate with IT teams to implement data governance technologies and solutions.

Consult with IT team to implement data best practices in new solutions.

Monitor and evaluate data governance initiatives to measure their effectiveness and identify areas for improvement.

Lead Data Governance technical team to ensure effective deployment of data governance tools to enable governance program elements.

Stay up to date with industry trends and best practices in data governance, data management, and data privacy.

Skills That Make a Difference:

At least 7 years experience in stakeholder management and large-scale data or project management oversight experience.

At least 3 years experience in a major global organization.

Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or a related field. Master's degree preferred.

Proven experience in data governance, data management, or a related role.

Strong understanding of data governance frameworks, principles, and best practices.

Familiarity with data governance technologies, such as data cataloging, data lineage, and metadata management tools.

Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making skills.

Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively with stakeholders at all levels.

Ability to synthesize information for executive audience.

Project management skills, with the ability to prioritize and manage multiple initiatives simultaneously.

Experience in the implementation of data governance frameworks and tools.

What Will Put You Ahead:

Knowledge of data privacy regulations and compliance standards (e.g., GDPR, CCPA).

Professional certifications in data governance (e.g., Certified Data Management Professional) are a plus.

Proven experience with management of enterprise-wide, global programs.

Functional understanding of data management and catalog tools such as Purview, Collibra, Informatica, Alation.

Functional understanding of analytics technologies such as Power BI, Tableau, Azure, Google Cloud Platform or Informatica.
