listed below that includes opportunities for professional growth, direct hire by our customers, and additional opportunities within our own organization.This Project Engineer role involves coordinating design project tasks to meet deliverable timelines, supporting the development of mechanical components and systems across various manufacturing processes, and managing project schedules and costs. The engineer will review and interpret engineering specifications, collaborate with cross-functional teams, and drive new product development and product improvements.Job Description
Coordinate design project tasks to ensure that deliverables are met.Support the conception and development of mechanical components and systems that may include plastic processes, castings, forgings, stampings, or laser cut parts, and large weldments.Monitor project schedule and costs.Review, understand, and interpret engineering specifications.Coordinate with Manufacturing, Quality Engineering, Product Engineering, Product Verification & Validation, and Procurement teams.Work on new product development and current product improvements.Provide technical guidance and problem resolution.Coordinate material purchasing requirements, develop requisitions, and oversee vendor progress.Follow company procedures with regards to process & procedures.Use of Creo 10.0 and Windchill to support 3-D Modeling of components.Creation and support of 2D drawings and specification documents.Work daily with a multi-disciplinary team of engineers, supply management, business managers, project managers, pricing, marketing, customer support, suppliers, and dealers.Requirements
Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering or related field.Minimum 3 years project management or product development experience.Managed multiple small and/or medium projects.Ability to work with minimal supervision.Candidates must have excellent communication and analytical skills.High level of attention to detail and accuracy.Strong analytical, problem solving, and troubleshooting skills.Demonstrated ability to meet deadlines and commitments.Desired Attributes
Experience in 3-D Modeling Software; Creo 10.0 experience (Preferred).Previous experience with Windchill or PDMLink.Strong understanding of GD&T.Design experience or exposure to off-road mobile equipment.Ability to address quality issues, determine root cause and drive to a corrective action.Desire to work in an engineering environment focusing on robust & cost-effective designs.Strong mechanical aptitude demonstrated through work experience or hobbies.Previous design experience or knowledge of off-road equipment.About RFA EngineeringRFA Engineering has provided product development and engineering services to industry-leading customers since 1943.
