Job Description:
We are seeking an experienced Java Database Developer – Level III to join our dynamic team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for developing, optimizing, and maintaining database-driven Java applications, ensuring high functionality and performance. This role requires a strong background in Java, database management, and web service development, as well as the ability to work collaboratively across teams to deliver scalable, high-performance solutions.
Key Responsibilities
Design, develop, and maintain database-driven Java applications, ensuring they are secure, reliable, and optimized for performance.
Collaborate with cross-functional teams to gather and understand application requirements.
Implement applications using J2EE Application Servers and enforce Java security authentication and authorization for services and user accounts.
Develop web applications using Servlets, Spring, and Spring Batch, and ensure they align with project requirements.
Conduct ad hoc data analysis and reporting to support business needs.
Build and consume Web Services (SOAP/REST) for efficient data integration.
Implement CI/CD pipelines and version control using GitLab, Maven, and Jenkins.
Work on Full Stack Development projects involving JavaScript, JSF, and Prime Faces 7.0.
Design and develop XSD and schematron data validation rules for data accuracy.
Configure and optimize application servers (WildFly, Tomcat, or WebLogic) as required.
Develop and optimize complex queries, stored procedures, and aggregate operations for MongoDB and Postgres databases, ensuring efficient database performance.
Participate in architectural and performance reviews, contributing to the design of scalable solutions.
Provide support in database query optimization and procedure design for Postgres and MongoDB.
QualificationsMinimum Requirements
8 years required : Strong hands-on experience in Java development, including extensive experience with J2EE, Servlets, and related technologies.
8 years required : Experience implementing applications using J2EE Application Servers, with expertise in Java security for service and user account authentication and authorization.
8 years required : Proficiency in web application development using Servlets, Spring, and Spring Batch.
8 years required : Experience in ad hoc data analysis and reporting.
4 years required : Strong experience in building and consuming Web Services (SOAP/REST).
4 years required : Hands-on experience with CI/CD tools, including GitLab, Maven, and Jenkins.
4 years required : Full Stack Development experience with front-end technologies such as JavaScript, JSF, and Prime Faces 7.0.
4 years required : Experience in designing and developing XSD and schematron data validation rules.
4 years required : Experience configuring at least one application server (WildFly, Tomcat, or WebLogic).
4 years required : Expert-level understanding of MongoDB and Postgres databases, including writing complex queries, stored procedures, aggregate operations, and performance tuning.
4 years required : Experience in designing and optimizing database queries and procedures in Postgres and MongoDB.
Preferred Qualifications
8 years preferred : Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
8 years preferred : Ability to work effectively in a collaborative, fast-paced environment.
2 years preferred : Familiarity with Azure App Services and Cloud Services.
2 years preferred : Experience with healthcare or State Department applications is a plus.
