ResponsibilitiesPosition Summary:

The NICU Clinical Nurse Specialist is accountable for promoting excellence in clinical nursing practice and is responsible for knowledge driven outcomes management advanced clinical practice education to staff patient family and community. The NICU Clinical Nurse Specialist performs patient evaluations counsels patients / families and collaborates with physicians and other members of the health care team to provide other appropriate direct care interventions. The inpatient population within our NICU Nursing Services program consists primarily of premature newborns and term neonates with complicating conditions.

QualificationsMinimum Qualifications:

5 to 10 years as Level 3 NICU Nurse.

Master’s Degree - MSN

Required: RN = Registered Nurse in State of NV.

BLS-CPR= Current AHA-BASIC LIFE SUPPORT-Nat'l

NRP-I = NEO- NATAL RES PROG INSR-Nat'l

STBL = STABLE PROG LEARN CRSE-Nat'l

STBL-I = STABLE INSTRUCTOR-Nat'l = Sugar Temperature Airway Blood pressure Lab work and Emotional Support Program Instructor within 6 months of hire.

Strong program development research and analytical skills.

Strong verbal written and interpersonal skills.

Demonstrated ability to utilize the electronic medical record

Must demonstrate knowledge of keyboard/mouse abilities and navigation of Windows.

Must be able to communicate effectively.

Ability to form and manage teams.

Flexible in scheduling.

Demonstrates organizational skills and strong leadership ability.

Ability to work on multiple hospital campuses.

Preferred Qualifications:

MSN with Emphasis on Neonatal Nursing. RNC-NIC.
