Job Title: Accounting Supervisor

In this role, you will be responsible for leading daily operations, including preparing and/or reviewing appropriate ledger entries and reconciliations, maintaining the general ledger system, preparing monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements, assisting with regulatory reporting as applicable, and related duties. What will you do?
Company seeks an accomplished Accounting Supervisor. This role is responsible for applying accounting principles and procedures primarily by overseeing and managing the AP and AR functions for the entire company.
Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:
Maintain an effective internal control environment. Design and implement improvements to governance.Collaborate with and support the reporting needs of business partners.Ensure payments from customers are applied timely so that accurate statements are sent out each month.Reconcile general ledger accounts on a monthly basis including but not limited to: deposits, accrued expenses, investments, leases, equity, and inter-company balances.Work with the collection specialist in Accounts Receivable to ensure we are keeping our accounts receivable balance current.Develop, maintain, and manage budgets and projections.Work internally with the billing coordinators, project managers, salespeople, etc. to ensure billing is accurate and that customers are being billed and collected on timely.Ensure Accounts Payable is properly performing 3-way match on all inventory purchases, collaborate with purchasing in each location/division.Ensure critical vendors are paid timely and that invoices are entered in a timely manner to ensure prompt payment to all vendors.Understand complexities of a ERP program. This role is the main point of contact for ERP related issues, such as: assigning usernames/creating new accounts, troubleshooting system issues, training new users, etc.The Accounting Supervisor will be responsible for ensuring the ERP system is operating effectively and will actively coordinate across departments as well as engage with users in order to improve the user experience.This position requires strong knowledge of business processes.
SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITIES
This job supervises a team of 2-3 people.
QUALIFICATIONS
Bachelor's degree in accounting/finance or computer science
(required)5+ years of experience in an Accounting Supervisor type roleHands-on experience with ERP implementation and workflow setup is preferredYou understand how your knowledge of ERP can affect and impact the businessExcellent organization skills and keen attention to detailExperience with Access/SQL preferredExperience working in and with ERP systemsProven ability to prioritize and handle multiple on-going assignmentsProven cross-team collaboration, problem-solver, networking, team building, organizational, and communication skillsExperience managing databasesExperience managing remote employeesThis job will require some travel
To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily. Must possess strong computer skills. Proficient in Microsoft Excel, Word and other MS Office products.
