Summary:

The IT Systems Administrator II is responsible for working with Pitsco team members to plan, implement, maintain, and support Pitsco information and telecommunications systems. This role provides planning and direction for current and future systems, including hardware and software; ensures all systems are monitored and maintained to provide the best solutions for Pitscos overall business strategy; provides recommendations about current and emerging technology as it relates to Pitscos core objectives; and provides top-level support in a professional manner to end users. These tasks are accomplished by performing the following duties.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities (other duties may be assigned):

Working with management to provide input on short- and long-term plans for Pitscos information systems

Identifying, researching, and making recommendations for technology changes to best fit the needs of Pitsco

Implementing plans and changes for Pitsco networking and services with minimal interruption to business

Implementing and maintaining the disaster recovery plan to ensure systems reliability

Ensuring the guidelines in the company IT Security Policy are implemented

Recommending, installing, configuring, and maintaining computer systems including desktops, laptops, and mobile devices as well as peripheral devices including printers, scanners, copiers, and so on

Recommending, installing, configuring, and maintaining network computer systems including physical, virtual, and cloud servers

Recommending, installing, configuring, and maintaining network hardware and software including firewalls, switches, VPN, and wireless for both LAN and WAN connectivity

Recommending, installing, configuring, and maintaining phone systems servers, handsets, faxes, and other software

Working with phone and Internet providers to maintain voice and data connectivity and troubleshoot issues

Installing, configuring, and maintaining network management tools (Active Directory, DNS, DHCP, AntiVirus, Exchange, O365, Equallogic SAN. AWS)

Creating, configuring, and maintaining end user profiles and network security access as required by individual employee roles while following IT Security Policy guidelines

Working with end users, supervisors, and third-party vendors to troubleshoot problems

Configuring and monitoring backups of Pitsco systems and data

Being accountable for creating projects, communicating about them, and meeting deadlines

Responding to the needs of users in a timely manner and exercising good judgment when escalating issue priority

Communicating with system users in a professional manner

Monitoring systems and networks to find ways to improve systems and performance
