Position Overview
The main tasks of the Marketing Communications Specialist at Porsche Motorsport North America are to coordinate Porsche Motorsport North America's communication such as press releases, social media, etc., find and execute new sponsorship opportunities, and grow Porsche Motorsport North America's social media channels.
Roles & Responsibilities
Marketing:
Build and manage the company's social media profiles and online presence to increase exposureBuild a network with media outlets, sponsors, teams, drivers, etc.Develop an exciting look and feel for Porsche Motorsport North AmericaCoordinate social media activities with external agencies
Communications:
Create and execute a communication plan for Porsche Motorsport North AmericaCo-create press releasesBe responsible for Porsche Motorsport North America's websites
Sponsorships:
Discover and reach out to potential sponsorsDevelop creative sponsorship activationsEnsure sponsorship branding on race weekendsCreate sponsorship reports after race weekends
Event planning:
Support the team in the organization of customer workshops and gatherings

Education / Experience / Requirements:
A degree in business with a focus on Marketing, Communications, or comparable study is required.3 years work-related experienceProven working experience in social media marketing, creating content calendars, curating content, daily publishing, insight/reach tracking, and implementation of data for future postsPrevious experience in the (motor)sport business preferredWillingness to travel and work at race events (weekends) 10-15 times per yearSkills
Proactivity and ability to work independentlyCreativityStrong written, oral, and interpersonal communication skillsSelf-motivated, ready for a challenge, and looking to make an immediate impactFully entrenched in social media culture and complete understanding of the fine line of managing a professional, but effective social media presenceAwareness and understanding of CI guidelinesProficient computer skills in Microsoft office applications, including Excel, PowerPoint, and AdobeAbility to manage and oversee several activities at onceProficient working in a multi-cultural environmentDesire for continuous development and learning opportunitiesStrong analytical, organizational, and time management skillsPercentage of required travel: 20-30%
Schedule/Shift: 40 weekly hours
The salary range for this position is $77,000.00 - $100,000.00 per year.
Physical Requirements
Must be able to lift 15 pounds at times.While performing the duties of this job the employee is required to talk, hear, walk, sit, stand, climb stairs on occasion with prolonged periods of sitting at a desk and working on a computer.Must be able to effectively work and complete tasks in an open office/noisy environment.This job operates in an automotive workshop and office environment. This role routinely uses standard office equipment such as computers, phones, cameras, photocopiers, and filing cabinets. While performing the duties of this job, the employee may be exposed to fumes or airborne particles, moving mechanical parts, automotive parts at operational temperature and vibration. The noise level in the work environment and job site can be loud.
