2nd Shift: $18.30/hour...Monday to Friday 3pm to 11pm

3rd Shift: $19.30/hour....Sunday to Thursday 11pm to 7am

SITE Staffing is currently accepting applications for a 2nd or 3rd shift Quality Lab Tech at our client in Milwaukee near 67th and Good Hope Road. Under the direction of the Quality Lab Supervisor, with guidance from the Quality Lab Tech Lead, the Quality Assurance Lab Technician is responsible for the completion of testing and inspection, dimensional analysis and support of other departments within the company.

This position requires the Technician be able to complete product/process inspections in a production environment as well as a lab environment while managing files and software.

Overtime will be required including some weekend hours. This position will also maintain the client's TS16949/ISO14001/EMS certifications by supporting all corporate policies, procedures, work instructions and required documentation.

Essential Functions:Understand Customer Expectations as they relate to Product QualityThrive in and help support a Team AtmosphereHelp support the team by mentoring Operators regarding Quality of ProductPerform 1st Piece Inspection of manufactured productPerform in-process inspection of manufactured productPerform Product specific tests including but not limited to tensile Perform moisture analysis on manufactured product as well as incoming Verify Material Certification and Approve raw material Enter and edit SPC data in the SPC computer file File all QA records and samples (obsolete and current).Use incoming color chip samples to verify colorant in receivingHandle non-conforming material isolation and documentationPerform a dimensional layout referencing the company drawingUse SPC software Record all inspection and test data.Weigh parts.Use control plans.PPAP and PPC testing.Assist in maintaining the client's Quality and Environmental certification by supporting: Corporate policies, procedures, work instructions and required documentation.Other Functions:

Become a "Go To" person for production personnel regarding Quality of ProductDetermine "Clean Point" when a non-conformance is foundSupport LEAN Work EnvironmentOther duties may be assigned.Key Competencies:

Ability to read BlueprintsAbility to use basic hand measuring toolsHave basic math skillsAbility to communicate effectively both written and orally Basic computer skills a plusInjection Molding knowledge a plusQualifications (skills, knowledge, experience):

High school diploma or equivalent required.1-year prior lab experience requiredGood math and communication skills.Windows, Excel ExperienceMicrometer and caliper knowledge preferred.Problem solving skills.Blueprint reading skills required.Excellent verbal & written communication skills.Bend over in order to lift 50lbs. Ability to lift/push/pull up to 50 lbs.All employees entering the Manufacturing area and other identified locations must wear the designated Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) for their position. Wearing your Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) is a condition of employment.Ability to work daily and weekend overtime to meet the needs of the department and customer.Dress code / PPE:

Jeans, SITE t-shift, steel toes, •Wear casual clothing, (steel toes are required) as well as hearing protection, shorts are allowed-knee length, must have sleeves on shirts, no holes allowed on any clothing, no hoody's with strings or hats that cover the ears •Safety glasses & hearing protection provided (steel toes are required, The client allows any hard toe (Steel/composite) shoes/boots. Composite boots are acceptable.)
