Job Summary:As the global leader in the design, development and production of automotive interiors, we are a passionate manufacturing organization driven to be our customers' preferred partner. We provide products with superior quality that are manufactured leveraging robust processes and continuous improvement. This role is responsible for analyzing manufacturing processes for improvements using various methods of testing and inspection, driving quality improvements through problem solving, and ensuring products are manufactured in compliance with customer specifications, safety standards, and design specifications. Oversees and facilitates the implementation of process Quality core tools (Process Flow, PFMEA, Control Plans, etc.).Main Responsibilities
Essential functions of the job:Update/maintain the Control Plan for the assigned workflows.Primary contact source with customer/supplier representatives, maintain positive communication and relationship, support and attend meetings, reviews, and audits.Ensures that the quality system is maintained in accordance with the YF iOS standards.Facilitate problem-solving teams and respond to customer discrepancy notices.Verify corrective actions and prepare problem-solving customer correspondence related to quality concerns or issues.Participate in internal and external quality audits, and report to management on quality issues, trends, and losses.Establish process controls, assist in training of new projects and buy-off on new/modified equipment and processes.Participate in workgroups (e.g., FMEA, PSMC, etc.). Support the risk and failure analysis (PFMEA) reviews.Perform root cause analysis of technical quality problems, with support of a cross-functional team.Support quality/dimensional control systems (i.e., X&R charts, gage studies, Six Sigma, dimensional capability studies).Strong working knowledge of APQP tools (e.g., Process Flow, PFMEA, Control Plan, PPAP, MSA, SPC, etc.).Required Education
Bachelor's Level DegreeQuality, Engineering or similarRequired Qualifications
5-9 Years of Experience within the automotive industry.Must be able and willing to travel and work at customer sites, including industrial manufacturing plants which might require climbing, lifting, or working in confined spaces.Must be organized and able to communicate well with others.Must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily.Working knowledge and demonstrated competence of IATF16949.
