Job Description TPWD MISSION To manage and conserve the natural and cultural resources of Texas and to provide hunting, fishing and outdoor recreation opportunities for the use and enjoyment of present and future generations. HIRING CONTACT: Venugopal Nerametla, (512) 389 - 4787 PHYSICAL WORK ADDRESS: Information Technology, 4200 Smith School Road, Austin, Texas 78744 GENERAL DESCRIPTION : Under the direction of the Technical Service Manager, this position performs entry-level computer systems analysis work of Windows Server, SharePoint and Microsoft Power Platform. Provides day-to-day support and resolution for incident and problem calls, including troubleshooting of system software and hardware issues, under the State of Texas Data Center Contract. Performs data access policy permission and performance tuning configurations. Assists in completing projects that cross functional Agency divisions, other State of Texas Agencies, and Service Providers. Assists in the preparation of recommendations, project plans, procedural and other technical documents for management. Works under close supervision, with minimal latitude for the use of initiative and independent judgment. Performs additional duties as assigned. Complies with all Agency, Division and Branch rules, regulations and procedures. Qualifications: MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS : Education : 60 semester hours from an accredited college or university. Experience : Six months' full-time experience in Systems Administration or Systems Analysis. Licensure : Must possess a valid State driver's license. ACCEPTABLE SUBSTITUTIONS : Education : One additional year of the required full-time experience may substitute for 30 semester of the required education, with a maximum substitution of 30 semester hours. PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS : Education : Graduation from an accredited college or university with a Bachelor's degree in a Technology related field. Experience : One year experience in Systems Analysis. KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND ABILITIES : Knowledge of Windows Server management. Knowledge of Windows server upgrade best Practices. Knowledge of security administration and remediation procedures. Knowledge of SharePoint Administration & site management. Knowledge of Cloud environments. Skill in using MS Word, Excel and Outlook. Skill in effective verbal and written communication. Skills in SharePoint site development and management. Skilled in Microsoft Server administration. Skilled in M365 Administration. Skilled in troubleshooting and resolution of complex technical issues. Skilled in assisting on projects with other IT teams, Agency divisions, and Service Providers to work collaboratively to resolve complex issues. Skilled in the research and preparation of technical reports. Skill in providing quality customer service in a courteous and professional manner. Skill in establishing and maintaining effective work relationships with co-workers and work-related contacts. Ability to recognize, analyze and resolve complex technical issues and mitigate risk. Ability to make sound and timely decisions. Ability to communicate complex technical issues to audiences with different levels of technical knowledge. Ability to work independently with little or no supervision. Ability to conduct work activities in accordance with TPWD safety program. WORKING CONDITIONS : Required to work from 8:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m., Monday through Friday; alternate schedule may be available. Required to work overtime as necessary. Required to respond to emergencies and on-call situations. Required to pass a national fingerprint-based background check to maintain employment.
