ABF invests a great deal in selecting and developing the right people for Ohly and the broader ABF group of companies.Ohly has a great opportunity for a Global Demand Planner to join our team in Boyceville Wisconsin or Chicago, IL USA. The Global Demand Planner will support the organization by utilizing analytical, marketing, and sales data to estimate future product demands. They develop an effective forecast model by paying attention to industry trends and demand patterns. They monitor and report essential changes to sales forecasts, business strategies, and budgets. They support platform leadership with risk assessment and activities to help mitigate the risk and propose and implement solutions that accurately improve demand forecasts. The Global Demand Planner works well across functional groups in the organization and provides leadership and expertise in the demand planning process. They are customer-oriented, team-oriented and possess a flexible way of working as well as strong communication skills and resilience. They bring value to the organization through their demand planning experience, their knowledge of efficient forecasting models and processes, and their leadership of the process across the global organization.In this exciting role you will:Create and generate global demand forecasts using historical data, seasonality, and variability metrics in cooperation with Sales and all other relevant internal and external partners (Finance, Supply Chain, Innovation, Customers, Distributors)Develop effective forecast models based on industry trends and demand patternsSupport management with risk assessments and mitigation activitiesPropose and implement solutions to improve demand forecast accuracySuccessfully communicate forecast and inventory estimations to managementMonitor and reports on important changes in sales forecasts, budgets, and business strategiesAddresses demand-related issues in a timely and effective mannerCoordinate customer requirements and information to production planning/finance departmentProactively requests customer information regarding demand volumesCreates variance analyses in coordination with Sales/FinanceMaintains an overview of historical sales figures, knowledge of possible development projects and their impact on demandLeads the demand management process as part of the S&OP process Develops Power BI based reports to support sales and platformsSupports annual budgeting process through forecast, demand trend analysis, & knowledge of customers as requiredActively collaborates with Supply Chain team to refine and improve the planning processUploads and manages key documents in CRM as part of demand planning functionYou should have:Bachelor's degree in business, supply chain, or related fields and a minimum of three years' experience in demand planning or a forecasting roleExperience with S&OP processesSolid understanding of inventory management practices and proceduresExperience working in interdisciplinary teamsExcellent interpersonal communication skillsComprehensive oral and written skillsAbility to work in a fast-paced and global environmentSelf-driven to complete independent work & drive others to complete their workComfortable dealing with complexity and multiple prioritiesHighly organized and detail oriented with demonstrated problem solving expertiseStrong computer skills including proficiency MS Office (Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint, Teams), D365, Power BI and CRM Experience with statistical forecasting softwareHigh energy, positive attitude, goal oriented, professionalMust be based in the USNice to have:Professional experience in the food industry We look forward to your application including information about your earliest possible start date and salary expectations!
