The Process Engineer Intern will be responsible for the job duties as described below; Process Improvement ResponsibilitiesWork with Operations Team (Production, Quality, Maintenance, Engineering, Safety) to improve output and efficiency of production processes including Spray Drying, Blending, Separations, or Enzymatic reactionsDevelop and improve mass, energy, cost, and labor balance modelingImplement and optimize process controlsDevelop strategies to improve process performanceUpdate Process & Instrumentation DiagramsCreate/revise procedures and instructionsCommunication Ensure all departments are generally aware of process work, and affected personnel are informedWork collaboratively with operators on all changes Support 'upward' flow of ideas and concerns Actively participate in daily production meetingsSafety Responsibilities Demonstrates safety takes priority and insists on strict adherence to safety policies/proceduresSupport and comply with Good Manufacturing Practices and the Food Safety PlanParticipates in the Ohly Americas safety program including but not limited to attending weekly, monthly, and annual safety trainingEssential Skills & KnowledgeSelf-starter, independent, flexibleHands-on, Operations focusCreative, resourceful learnerComprehensive oral and written skillsObservant with ability to investigate and interpret data accuratelyStrong interpersonal skillsAssists with employee training as requiredRequired Education and ExperiencePursuing a B.S. in Chemical Engineering, Biosystems Engineering, or other engineering fieldMinimum GPA of 2.8High school diploma requiredLocationThis position will be based in Boyceville, WI Other FactorsNo travel is required.Job requires >50% of total work hours of finger/hand dexterityOhly operates based on our values of doing the right thing for our people, customers, and planet.
