Job Description:

This position will be part of the Provider Recruitment Team to actively recruit potential providers into the Texas Vaccines for Children (TVFC) program. The Program Specialist VI will be responsible for recruiting providers based on implementing a strategic plan to expand the TVFC provider network and increase immunization access statewide. Responsibilities of the team will also include conducting weekly TVFC provider recruitment webinars and meetings with future program partners to recruit providers for the TVFC program. In order to achieve the program goals and objectives, the TVFC recruitment team will build and strengthen partnerships with potential program providers, DSHS Public Health Region, local health department and stakeholders.

The Program Specialist VI is necessary to support and expand current programmatic efforts to achieve through partnership and training DSHS Responsible Entities (REs), which include Public Health Regions (PHR's) and contracted Local Health Departments (LHDs), to actively recruit TVFC providers. With this additional support, the position will generate, in collaboration with program, the TVFC recruitment list for REs to target and actively recruit providers across all areas of Texas.

Essential Job Functions:

(50%) Travels to recruit providers and attend statewide outreach events in line with required project deliverables. Conduct outreach efforts to recruit healthcare providers about the benefits of joining the TVFC program. Speak on behalf of the DSHS Immunization Section at public/private outreach events and conferences.

(30%) Engages with stakeholders on a regular basis in written (email), verbal (phone/Microsoft Teams), and in-person formats. Assists with the development of stakeholder engagement strategies and communications ensuring appropriate documentation. Provides updates on stakeholder engagement to leadership on a regular basis. Regularly evaluate recruitment strategies and adjust tactics as needed to improve effectiveness.

(10%) Assists with the development, coordination, and implementation of project deliverable activities. Ensures prompt and accurate documentation of all project deliverable activities.

(5%) Develops programmatic materials in line with established project deliverables. Develops educational trainings for various stakeholder groups ensuring the applicability of messaging and stakeholder appropriate language. Ensures all material approval timelines/tracks are adhered to and considered in overall project deliverable timelines. Facilitates educational trainings and outreach with various stakeholder groups in virtual and in-person formats.

(5%) Attends work on a regular and predictable schedule in accordance with agency leave policy and performs other duties as assigned. Other duties as assigned include but are not limited to actively participating and/or serving in a supporting role to meet the agency's obligations for disaster response and/or recovery or Continuity of Operations (COOP) activation. Such participation may require an alternate shift pattern assignment and/or location.

Knowledge Skills Abilities:

•Knowledge of the features and functionality of Microsoft Office tools, including Excel, Outlook, SharePoint, Teams, and Word

•Skill in time management, planning, developing, and implementing procedures and work systems to manage multiple tasks, heavy workloads, and frequent deadlines

•Skill in editing and formatting documents, forms, reports, correspondence and memoranda

•Strong understanding of immunization programs, public health initiatives, and healthcare systems.

•Excellent communication, interpersonal, and negotiation skills.

•Proven ability to develop and implement strategic plans, manage projects, and achieve measurable outcomes.

•Proficiency in data analysis, reporting, and use of relevant software applications.

•Knowledge of relevant laws, regulations, and policies governing public health programs and immunization services.
