* Intra-procedural Patient Care
* Assist physicians or registered nurses in the conduct of basic and advanced endoscopic procedures such as Endoscopic Ultrasounds (EUS), Endoscopic Retrograde Cholangiopancreatography (ERCP), and Endo-bronchial ultrasound (EBUS)
* Collect specimens from patients, using standard medical procedures.
* Place devices, such as blood pressure cuffs, pulse oximeter sensors, nasal cannulas, surgical cautery pads, and cardiac monitoring electrodes, on patients to monitor vital signs.
* Reprocessing/High Level Disinfecting (HLD) * Clean, disinfect, or calibrate scopes or other endoscopic instruments according to manufacturer recommendations and facility standards. * Prepare suites or rooms according to endoscopic procedure requirements.
* Maintenance of Equipment/Supplies … 5% * Perform safety checks to verify proper equipment functioning. * Maintain or repair endoscopic equipment. * Maintain inventories of endoscopic equipment and supplies. * Conduct in-service training sessions to disseminate information regarding equipment or instruments.
Positions Requirements:
* Experience: Two (2) years of Endoscopy-specific experience * Education: High School Diploma and Completion of GI Associate coursework through SGNA every 5 years * License and Certification: Basic Life Support (BLS) * Skills and Abilities: effective communication, customer service, interpersonal, planning and organization, active listening, attention to detail, technology and software, direct patient care.
