A DAY IN THE LIFE OF A PROJECT ADMINISTRATOR
As a Project Administrator you will provide construction project administrative support. This position will independently handle assigned projects and be required to meet firm deadlines. In addition, this position manages office resources, assists in handling payroll and accounting tasks and serves as a primary point of contact for various communications.
You will provide administrative support to ensure smooth office operations, maintain schedules, logs, reports and meeting minutes. Manage timesheets, credit card expenses, handle weekly payroll and monthly invoicing tasks. Oversee travel arrangements for team members. Assist with certification renewal and onboarding of new employees. Coordinate subcontractor documentation and procurement activities.
QUALIFICATIONS FOR A PROJECT ADMINISTRATORMinimum two (2) years of experience in construction office/administrative functions.Proficiency in MS Office products (Outlook, Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Visio, etc.) and Internet browsers.Experience in federal government contracting or employment is a plus.Experience in accounting and/or payroll is desirable.Ability to manage multiple tasks and work independently.High degree of organizational skills.Must maintain a valid driver's license.Ability to successfully pass post-offer employment background check.Notary certification is required.Must be a team player with excellent communication and interpersonal skills.Ability to handle sensitive information with tact and discretion.If applicable, successfully pass a federal background security check and maintain a clearance.Must pass and remain in compliance with drug free workplace policies.
