About the Position:
The U.S. Army DEVCOM C5ISR Center, Engineering and Systems Integration (ESI), Cyber Security Division, Cryptographic Modernization Branch is looking to add a Cyber Security Specialist to their team, located at Aberdeen Proving Ground, MD.
U.S. Citizenship is Required.
Duties:
Serve as the DCS, G-6 Key Management group lead in the Cyber Security Division in the CryptoMod Portfolio within ESI Directorate.Performs work involving new concepts and ideas for cryptographic technology and strategic and tactical network security equipment in achieving particular missions and goals, technological trends, significant advancements in operational and mission requirements.Assist in customer engagements, stakeholder collaboration, inter- and intra- directorate collaborations, technology planning, and developing applicable roadmaps and programs; technical reviews of papers, presentations, and patents.Works with division staff in formulation of overall program execution, funding, design concepts, proposals evaluations, and reporting of the overall progress in the development effort.Identifies technological gaps that need to be bridged between concepts and practical materials, hardware and processes and/or methods for closing such gaps.Supports DCS, G-6 staff in planning, strategy, network architecture, and implementation of current and future Army cryptographic systems in support of command, control, communications, cyber operations and networks for worldwide Army operations.Respond to DCS, G-6 priorities and roadmaps; HQDA taskers; supporting NSA, engaging with industry, and supporting ESI.Present briefings in multiple forums, both inside and outside the C5ISR Center; and advising leadership.Conditions of Employment:
Appointment may be subject to a suitability or fitness determination, as determined by a completed background investigation.This is a Top Secret with SCI position. It is designated Special-Sensitive (4) Top Secret (TS) security clearance with Sensitive Compartmented Access (SCI), or the incumbent must be able to obtain and maintain a TS/SCI security clearance/access.A Single Scope Background Investigation is required for TS/SCI access and must be completed prior to hiring and periodically thereafter.This is a testing designated position. Personnel are required to sign DA Form 5019-R (Condition of Employment for Certain Civilian Positions Identified as critical under the Department of the Army Drug-Free Federal Workplace Program).Personnel must pass drug screening prior to hiring and will be subject to periodic and random drug testing, thereafter, inaccordance with AR 600-85 and Department of Defense Directive 2010.9.This position has a Temporary Duty (TDY) or business travel requirement of up to 25% of the time.Persons born aft er 31 December 1959 and assigned the gender of male at birth must be registered for Selective ServiceThree-year probationary period may be required under the demonstration project for this Occupational Family unless the appointee has previously met the requirements as described in 5 CFR Part 315.The position requires submission of a Financial Disclosure Statement, OGE-450, upon entering the position and annually thereafter.
