Job DescriptionOn behalf of our client, Headway Workforce Solutions is currently seeking Part-Time Data Collectors to work on a research project. Data Collectors will work with 1st grade students in various schools in Akron, OH to assess students' reading abilities. Data collectors will also do classroom observations of reading instruction. Though most of the data collection is done in person, some schools may allow virtual visits. Data collection will take place during the remainder of the 2024-2025 school year.
Classroom observations will occur from January through March. Endline data collection will occur from April to May.
Survey administrators are expected to work approximately 10 hours per week during observations and 10-20 hours per week during endline data collection, with flexibility. This position will require traveling between schools in Akron. All mileage will be reimbursed at the government rate. For distance trips, all travel expenses will be paid. The pay rate starts at $19.00 to $20.00 per hour and training will begin mid-December.

The video portion can begin in mid-December adn the meetings with project staff will occur early-mid January (dates TBD)Have a valid driver's license, dependable car, and proof of auto insurancePreferred Qualifications
Bachelor's Degree or related professional experience is preferred, but not requiredContinued employment eligibility is contingent upon successful completion of mandatory training, verified reference checks, a DMV background check, and criminal background check including Megan's Law.Physical Requirements of a part-time Data Collector:
