Description
We are looking for an enthusiastic Analytics Engineer I to join our growing team, reporting to the Manager of Data Platforms. As an Analytics Engineer I, you will assist in building and optimizing data models to meet business analytics and reporting requirements. You will work closely with senior engineers, data analysts, and business stakeholders to understand project requirements and deliver high-quality data models that support Tableau and other business intelligence tools. Responsibilities:Assist in developing and maintaining data models in Snowflake using dbt to support business analytics and reporting needs.Write and optimize SQL queries for data extraction, transformation, and loading (ETL) processes under guidance from senior team members.Collaborate with senior engineers, data analysts, and business stakeholders to understand business requirements and translate them into data models.Help build and manage data pipelines and workflows using dbt and other ETL tools.Ensure data quality and integrity throughout the data lifecycle, with a focus on learning and applying best practices.Develop data models that provide the foundation for Tableau dashboards and other BI visualizations.Troubleshoot and resolve data issues as they arise, with mentorship from senior engineers.Learn and stay updated on the latest data engineering and analytics technologies and best practices.Qualifications:
Bachelor's degree in computer science, information systems, or a related field, or equivalent work experience.1-2 years of experience in analytics, data engineering, or related role (internships or project work acceptable).Experience in writing SQL queries and working with data models.Familiarity with data warehousing, ETL, or BI tools (e.g., Tableau, Power BI).Willingness to learn dbt, git, CI/CD, and Python, with a strong interest in developing a career in data engineering and analytics.Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with a keen attention to detail.Good communication and teamwork skills, with the ability to work effectively in a collaborative environment.Preferred Qualifications:
Some experience or coursework in data engineering, analytics, or relevant fields.Familiarity with cloud data platforms (e.g., Snowflake, AWS, Azure) is a plus.We Offer:
