Remote BI Analytics Engineer (Looker / dbt / Fivetran) Contract to Hire position Hourly Pay Rate Range: $50.00 to $65.00 per hour as W-2 Overview: VALiNTRY is seeking a Senior Analytics Engineer to support our BI lead in managing the enterprise's data pipeline and ecosystem from end to end. In this role, you'll collaborate with cross-functional business partners to understand their needs and transform raw data into actionable insights. You will also contribute to building and designing the next version of the data ecosystem and will be responsible for the ongoing maintenance and enhancement of data tools. This role reports to the Director of Business Intelligence. 6-Month Expectations: Contribute to the data pipeline process by creating new pipelines to enhance data availability on our BI platform. Take ownership of portions of our data stack. Proactively resolve data pipeline issues and errors. Play an active role in designing the future of our data pipeline and BI platforms. Collaborate with the team to implement best practices and support the overall business strategy. Lead data office hours and teach stakeholders how to better interact with data tools. 12-Month Expectations: Take complete ownership of the data pipeline from end to end. Establish close relationships with data stakeholders across the company. Revamp data visibility and error-reporting tools with improved reporting mechanisms. Lead the management and architecture design of the data infrastructure. Collaborate with key stakeholders and executives to define core KPIs and reporting frameworks. Develop a long-term vision for data tools and analytics, streamlining stakeholder interaction with data processes. Qualifications: Passionate about the mission and values of inclusivity, customer devotion, curiosity, courage, discernment, and being results-driven. 4 years of experience in data engineering, BI/analytics engineering, solutions architecture, or related fields. 3 years of experience with ETL processes and relational databases. 2 years of experience in BI and web analytics platforms. Strong expertise in SQL (Python knowledge is a plus). Familiarity with the following data stack: Data warehousing (Snowflake) dbt & Fivetran Looker BI platform AWS (Lambdas, EC2, S3, Postgres RDS) Deployments and containerization with Docker and Kubernetes Experience in building data transformation pipelines and designing dimensional models with dbt or similar ETL tools. Ability to learn quickly and work autonomously. Analytical, creative, and commercially-minded. Highly organized, with strong multitasking and prioritization skills. Self-motivated, with a proactive approach to problem-solving. Excellent written and verbal communication skills, fostering collaboration within a team-oriented environment.
