Major Responsibilities
-Under administrative direction, with broad latitude of independent actions or decision, develop and maintain advanced GIS applications that support the planning, management, and operational needs of parks and recreational facilities.-Design, develop, and implement GIS applications and tools using the ESRI ArcGIS platform to support various departmental needs.-Utilize Python for scripting and automation tasks within the GIS environment. Assist in troubleshooting and resolving technical issues related to GIS applications.-Collaborate with team leads to produce outage reports and ensure proper automated notifications are distributed when outages occur or when there is a change in the production environment.-Assist in the development and review of technical specifications for automation and monitoring solutions.-Develop and maintain standards and guidelines for implementing IT automation and monitoring.-Conduct spatial analysis and generate reports to support decision-making processes. Develop dashboards and visualizations to present findings effectively.-Ensure the quality and accuracy of GIS data through regular audits and validation processes. Implement best practices for data management and maintenance.-Create and maintain comprehensive documentation for GIS applications, processes, and workflows to facilitate knowledge sharing and continuity.-Stay updated with the latest GIS and automation technologies and trends.

Qualifications
1. A baccalaureate degree in computer science, engineering or a related field from an accredited college and four years of satisfactory full-time experience related to IT automation engineering, monitoring engineering, management of infrastructure; or
2. Eight years of satisfactory full-time experience related to IT automation engineering, monitoring engineering, management of infrastructure;
3. Education and/or experience which is equivalent to "1" or "2" above.
