This role may be performed remotely and will report into our Westmont, IL facility with an estimated 30% travel for customer and/or BRF site visits.
WHAT WE NEED
The primary role of the Director Foodservice Chain Sales is to ensure the overall success and growth of the Baldwin Richardson Foods (BRF) foodservice chain sales channel. This role is accountable for owning the chain sales channel strategy for growth, leadership of the sales team, and senior level relationships with customers. The Director will be a "BRF Ambassador" who engages proactively both internally and externally to bring BRF to the next level.
WHAT YOU WILL DO Develop and execute annual channel sales plan in alignment with corporate goals focused on meeting and exceeding the needs of the chain sales customers. Plans should include sales analysis, problem solving, account planning and market analysis to determine channel needs. Ensure joint business plans with each customer are established to drive profitable growth aligned with BRF's annual volume and revenue targets. Direct management and responsibility for achieving profitable growth with one FS chain sales channel customer. Manage and develop sales team members in alignment with BRF's CARE values. Work collaboratively with forecasting team to cross-functionally support the S&OP initiatives and provide projection and revisions where necessary. Manage employee performance by clearly defining job responsibilities and standards of performance; tracking progress against goals; providing clear, thorough, timely feedback; and addressing performance problems and issues promptly. Ensure self and staff keep up to date on technical knowledge and developments that impact roles. Uses this information to drive improvements and/or prepare for changing requirements. Create and foster professional development paths for team members. WHAT YOU NEED TO BE SUCCESSFUL
Bachelor's Degree in Business, Marketing or related field A minimum of ten (10+) years of sales experience in the foodservice channel Proven people leadership and development success, including management of performance concerns, hiring processes, and offboarding. Strong background in pricing management and negotiation. Successful experience building out a structure, growth strategy, and effective execution teams. Experience in building and executing annual plans. Demonstrated cross functional team building and leadership skills. Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:
Must demonstrate entrepreneurial spirit with strong desire and passion for success. Must be client/consumer centric. Must have excellent written and verbal communication skills. High drive for action, margin focus on the right customer, product & partnership. Ability to apply critical thinking skills with a strong business acumen. Advanced negotiating skills. Must have capability of being influential. Above average proficiency in Microsoft office suite.
At BRF, base pay is one part of our total compensation package and is determined within a range. The base pay range for this role is between $175,000 and $200,000 per year. Your base pay will depend on your skills, qualifications, and experience.
