Job Description
We are seeking an experienced Principal QA Engineer to support Capital Delivery Projects by providing quality assurance, technical design reviews, and constructive feedback on digital twin (DT) design elements. This role focuses on the review of technical drawings and design documentation to ensure adherence to quality standards and project requirements but does not involve implementation responsibilities. This position requires a skilled communicator who can interact with a diverse range of stakeholders and manage multiple review tasks efficiently.
Responsibilities:
Conduct quality assurance reviews for design and technical drawings related to Capital Delivery projects.Provide feedback and comments on DT (digital twin) designs to ensure quality and project alignment.Collaborate with both internal and external stakeholders to refine and enhance project design processes.Manage and coordinate a diverse team of subject matter experts to ensure QA standards are consistently met.Tailor communications and reports to various audience levels, including senior leadership.Oversee multiple project reviews simultaneously, providing timely feedback to project teams.Manage and publish weekly/monthly status reports outlining QA activities, accomplishments, and identified issues.Forecast and monitor budget and schedule changes, aligning project goals with leadership expectations and managing rebaselining if necessary.Requirements:
Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Engineering, Computer Science, Information Systems, Network Security, or an equivalent combination of experience and education.A minimum of 10 years of hands-on program and/or project management experience from initiation to implementation.Demonstrated experience in stakeholder management, diverse team leadership, and effective communication tailored to specific audiences.Proven experience managing multiple projects and publishing regular status updates.PMP certification required; ITIL v4 certification is a plus.Previous experience in the transportation industry, with Amtrak, or military background preferred.Willingness to travel up to 25%.
