Senior Business Analyst
to join our client team in a hybrid role, with three days per week onsite in
Minneapolis, MN . In this role, you'll lead efforts on a strategic project focused on enhancing Medical Professional Liability (MPL) products, processes, and technologies. Working with diverse teams-including underwriting, claims, IT, and compliance-you'll be at the forefront of defining requirements, optimizing workflows, and driving impactful solutions. Your contributions will directly shape the MPL project's success, ensuring it meets regulatory standards and operational goals. Responsibilities
Gather and Document RequirementsCollaborate with stakeholders to define project goals and gather detailed requirementsConduct interviews and workshops, creating clear documentation such as Business Requirements (BRDs) and user storiesEnsure all requirements meet industry standards and regulatory complianceAnalyze and Improve Business Processes
Assess existing MPL processes in underwriting, claims, and policy management to identify improvement areasCreate visual workflows, perform gap analyses, and support teams in adopting optimized workflows that reduce costs and increase efficiencyData Analysis and Reporting
Analyze MPL-related data, such as claims metrics, to uncover trends and support project objectivesDesign reports and dashboards to communicate insights effectively, enhancing data accessibility for stakeholdersDesign and Validate Solutions
Partner with IT, product development, and external vendors to design solutions aligned with business and regulatory needsParticipate in testing, including creating and managing test plans and supporting user acceptance testing (UAT), to ensure solution qualityCollaborate and Communicate with Stakeholders
Act as a liaison between project stakeholders, managers, and IT teams to keep all parties alignedPrepare documentation, lead meetings, and communicate project updates proactively across departmentsSupport Risk Management and Compliance
Ensure project requirements and solutions comply with HIPAA and MPL regulationsCollaborate with compliance teams to integrate risk mitigation strategies into project planning, proactively addressing potential risksEssential skills
Proficiency with business analysis tools like Microsoft Visio (or similar) for process mappingStrong experience with Agile methodologies and tools like JIRA and ConfluenceExcellent analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to translate complex business needs into actionable requirementsExceptional written and verbal communication skills focused on clarity and stakeholder engagementStrong attention to detail with the ability to manage multiple priorities independentlyCollaborative mindset and ability to work effectively in cross-functional teamsDesired skills
Knowledge of MPL insurance products, policy administration, and claims processesFamiliarity with regulatory compliance in healthcare or insurance settings, particularly MPL-related complianceExperience with additional project management methodologies (e.g., Waterfall)Previous experience facilitating requirements workshops and conducting user acceptance testing (UAT)Experience
3-6 years as a Business Analyst, ideally in the insurance or healthcare industriesProven success in requirements gathering, process mapping, and business process improvementDemonstrated experience working on projects related to insurance, healthcare, or similar fields
Benefits
Trissential offers a competitive compensation package for full time roles. The hourly pay range for this role is $75 to $85 depending on candidate's qualifications and experience. This role is eligible for benefits and includes options for medical, dental, vision, and tele-health benefits; Health Savings Account with company contribution; up to 48 hours of accrued paid safe and sick time, and 401k retirement savings.
