Express Advisor Manager
Oversee the operations and performance of automotive express service department, focusing on providing fast and efficient customer service for quick maintenance and repair tasks, such as oil changes, tire rotations, and minor repairs. They manage a team of Express Service Advisors, ensuring that they deliver excellent customer experience while also ensuring smooth operations for the service department.
Key Responsibilities of an Automotive Express Advisor Manager:
Team Leadership :
Supervise and mentor a team of automotive express service advisors, ensuring they provide high-quality customer service and meet performance goals.Train and develop new advisors, keeping the team updated on automotive products, services, and best practices.
Customer Interaction :
Oversee customer consultations, ensuring they are clear and transparent about the services being offered and the cost estimates.Address customer complaints or concerns in a timely and professional manner, aiming to resolve any issues quickly to maintain customer satisfaction.
Service Scheduling :
Oversee service appointments to ensure the department operates efficiently and customers' needs are met in a timely manner.Monitor the flow of customers and ensure that services are completed within the expected timeframes.
Inventory & Parts Management :
Work with the parts department to ensure that the necessary parts and tools are available for express service jobs.Track inventory levels for commonly used parts in express services to minimize downtime.
Performance & Efficiency :
Analyze service data and customer feedback to optimize service processes and improve efficiency.Set goals for the express service department, track performance, and implement strategies to achieve higher sales and customer satisfaction.
Sales and Upselling :
Promote and sell additional products and services, such as maintenance packages, or accessories.Ensure that the team is upselling appropriately and contributing to the growth of service revenue.
Quality Control :
Ensure that all services are performed and meet the dealership's standards of quality and safety.Perform inspections on completed work, making sure the service was delivered correctly, and any potential issues were addressed.
Required Skills and Qualifications:Automotive Knowledge : Strong understanding of car maintenance and repair processes.Customer Service : Excellent communication and problem-solving skills to interact with customers effectively.Leadership : Experience managing teams and motivating employees in a fast-paced environment.Sales Ability : Comfortable upselling and promoting additional services or products.Time Management : Ability to juggle multiple tasks and ensure services are completed on time.Organizational Skills : Capable of handling multiple service requests and managing department workflow efficiently.Education & Experience:
High School Diploma
or equivalent (required).Automotive Service Excellence (ASE) Certification
or other related certifications (preferred).Previous experience in an automotive service department, particularly in a managerial or advisor role.
