Mujin is currently seeking a Product Manager who can lead the development and launch of innovative products that leverage industrial automation and intelligent robotics technologies. You will be responsible for defining the product vision, strategy, roadmap, and features, as well as collaborating with cross-functional teams to deliver high-quality products that meet customer needs and market demands.

Area of focus:

Mujin MCX Controller platform: On our growth roadmap is expansion of our unique offering to system integrators and sophisticated end-users of a real-time digital twin hard- and soft- ware offering utilizing, motion planning, path planning, computer vision and Machine Intelligence to control robotics in the broadest sense.

A highly configurable no-code interface allows quick implementation of a large variety of sophisticated cells, e.g., palletizing, depalletizing, picking, truck unloading, automatic receiving, mobile robots, automatic storage and retrieval systems, etc. The role entails setting the direction for further commercialization of this offering in a rapidly expanding market.

Responsibilities:

Research and monitor industry trends, competitors, and best practices in industrial automation and intelligent roboticsEnsure timely completion of the product without cost overrunsPortfolio Management: Oversees the product portfolio from creation to retirement, ensuring orders, revenue and profitabilityContributes to business strategy formulation and translates it into the offering and solution portfolio through market and customer segmentation, and continuously evaluates the portfolio content with a focus on new potential solution deploymentsContributes to new portfolios development by leading customer need and value analysis, planning the roadmap to create maximum value, monitoring portfolio performance, and coordinating with R&DMarket analysis: Analyzes and tracks market, technology, competitor and customer requirements and trends related to the offering business including relevant regulations and standards and determines competitive attributes, prioritization and value propositionDesign and negotiate systems interfacing, network architecture, PLC and network protocols, and project-specific requirements with customersRequirements:

Bachelor's degree in engineering, computer science, or related field. Advanced degree preferred.7+ years of experience in product management or product development in industrial automation, intelligent robotics, or related fieldsExperience with agile software development methodologiesStrong analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making skillsExcellent communication, presentation, and interpersonal skillsAbility to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced environmentRequired Technical Competencies:

In-depth knowledge of common network protocols such as HTTP, HTTPS, FTP, ZMQ, TLSExperience working with PLC, timing charts, database such as Postgres, and key-value store such as RedisFamiliar with industry best practices regarding network security, data consistency, high availability and redundancyFundamental networking knowledge regarding network addresses, subnets, routing, broadcasting, port forwarding, address masquerading, as well as common network services and functions such as DHCP, NTP, SSH, VNC. Wireless technology such as 802.1X, roaming, wireless AP troubleshootingAbility to understand and contribute to complex software systems. Ability to design network architecture and communication protocols for large scale software systems with considerations for low latency, data consistency, data recovery, fail over, security and avoidance of timing issues and race conditions.
