We are hiring an Applications Engineer, for our DuPont Water Solutions Business. The successful candidate will provide technical support for all DuPont and partner owned DesaliTec™ Closed Circuit Reverse Osmosis (CCRO) commercial demonstration (pilot) assets through activities at all stages of the piloting process.
Your Key Responsibilities:
Pre-Pilot:
Support opportunity qualification.Identify goals/scope of the pilot and potential risks and opportunities.Develop a firm grasp of site water quality analysis and overall process design, including pre- and post- treatment.Prepare antiscalant chemical projections and CCRO projections using WAVE and third-party software such as AWC Proton and Avista AdvisorDevelop pilot proposals.Planning:
Participate in internal and external project kick-off meetings.Prepare opportunity-specific pilot protocol (or review pilot protocol if developed by Client or Client's Engineer).Partner with the Pilot Coordinator and Customer Success Manager to order membrane elements, spacers, and consumables and to schedule organization and field services to meet pilot schedules.Pilot Start-Up & Commissioning:
Partner with project stakeholders to review start-up check lists and special items.Pilot-Testing Period:
Be the technical lead for the pilot, as well as the point of contact for the Client and/or Engineering Firm for all process-related questions or issues.Partner with the Customer Success Manager who will be the point of contact for the Client and/or Engineering firm for all mechanical- or service-related questions or issues.Partner with the Customer Success Manager and involve Regional Director, Applications Engineering, Engineering, and Management for support, as necessary, throughout the pilot.Track pilot operation and performance daily through remote applications, and collaborate with the Pilot Coordinator, Customer Success Manager, and other stakeholders to resolve operational and maintenance issues in a timely manner (such as equipment replacement or calibration, commissioning, CIPs, membrane element replacements, decommissioning...)Prepare interim performance reports and present progress in regularly scheduled Progress Meetings with the Client and/or Engineering Firm (on a frequency as determined during the Kick-Off Meetings)Post-Pilot:
Prepare a Final Pilot Study Report outlining the results of the pilot study, to include formal data analysis.Qualifications:
BS or higher in Chemical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering or related discipline required.Minimum of one to five years of work experience with at least two years' experience with reverse osmosis design, performance analysis and troubleshooting.Experience developing plans and schedules with well-defined milestones and outcomes.
