As a Speech Pathologist, you will:
Assess and Diagnose:
Conduct comprehensive speech and language evaluations for school-aged children.Develop Individualized Plans:
Create and implement personalized treatment plans tailored to each child's unique needs.Therapeutic Intervention:
Provide one-on-one and group therapy sessions, utilizing evidence-based practices.Collaborate with Educators and Families:
Work closely with teachers, parents, and other professionals to support each child's communication goals.Monitor Progress:
Regularly evaluate and document students' progress, adjusting interventions as necessary to ensure continuous improvement.Advocate for Students:
Serve as a resource and advocate for children with speech and language disorders within the school community.Requirements
Master's degree in Speech-Language Pathology from an accredited program.Current Illinois state license as a Speech-Language Pathologist (or eligibility for license).Professional Educator License with Speech Therapy CertificationPrior experience working with school-aged children and formulating IEP's is highly desirable.Strong communication, organizational, and interpersonal skills.
