Network Engineer
Washington DC / Hybrid
MUST : Experience Network Engineer
Active DoD Secret Clearance and eligible for Top Secret Clearance
Also must past a T4 Federal background check 7+ years of experience in network systems administration and engineering
3+ years of experience in building, designing, managing and maintaining network systems as an engineer specifically
Deploy and support of virtual network infrastructures including Virtual Desktop Infrastructure (VDI) and Server Virtualization Infrastructure
Experience deploying servers or embedded systems and sub-components
Analyze system performance and identification of risks
Knowledge of IP networking technology
Knowledge of and VPN solutions
Experience working with both Linux and Windows systems in a network setting
Experience with VMware Horizon Integration is a plus
Excellent communication skills both written and verbal
Able to work well on a team as well as on individual tasks
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
Strong documentation skills
One active certification: M365E/X, VCP, CCNP, LPIC or Linux+
Bachelor's Degree in related field or 8 additional years of experience is required
DUTIES : The ideal candidate will provide a variety of oversite for the Program network and will report directly to Solutions architect and Sr Management team
This candidate will install, maintain, test complex infrastructure hardware and software issues
The candidate will be responsible for the connect of the network across the contract as well as perform builds, configurations, and implementations of server infrastructure both virtual and physical
The candidate must take ownership of incidents and identify problem trends to improve the overall dependability of the environment and meet appropriate Service Level Agreements
Maintain and support production environments consisting of Microsoft Windows Server and VMWare
Write scripts and procedures for daily operations
Provide WAN/LAN/MAN support for multi-vendor environments, connectivity and configuration management, soft/firmware management
Provide remote access support for F5 load balancing infrastructure, to include: F5 LTM, GTM, APM and VMware Horizon Integration
Work closely with leadership to ensure proper secure measures are in place across the network
Use critical thinking skills to identify potential risks, areas for improvements, and opportunities for additional work from the client
