Description

Powder River Industries, LLC provides technical services across the entire system development life cycle (SDLC). As a prime, we are responsible for complete end to end system management for a customer's mission system. This includes a data center, integrated logistics support, COOP, and disaster recovery. As a subcontractor we are providing services from: DevSecOps, software development, network administration, systems analysis, database administration, storage engineering, hardware engineering, Tier 1 - Tier 3 support in traditional data center environments (bare metal frames), cloud, and hybrid cloud. The cloud environments we are operating in today are AWS, Microsoft Azure, and Oracle.

Role & Responsibilities:

The chosen candidate is to provide support for a broad range of programs including planning, analysis and testing various components for unclassified and classified networks in support of Joint Service Provider. The correct candidate will integrate into a team of Systems Administrators supporting daily operations.

PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Experience working with VMWare ESXi or other virtualization platforms

• Experience using Hyperconverged platforms

• Experience with fabric interconnect; UCS line of Cisco products and services

• Performs functions at a high level of skill and proficiency.

• Optimizes system operation and resource utilization and performs system capacity analysis and planning.

• Updates firmware and required device profiles installed / deployed to Zero Client devices.

• Maintains fully patched/updated/mitigated Operating System image for testing and production and provides assistance to customers with operations of Virtual Desktop Infrastructure (VDI) systems.

• Collaborates with other Systems Administrators with troubleshooting and resolving issues that negatively affect the customer's virtual computing environment.

• Works directly with VMware VCenter Server/ESXi Hosts and VMWare Horizon View Administrator and maintains the virtual client pools, and virtual machines for maximum efficiency and monitors the virtual and physical network to ensure system availability.

• Updates/remediates patching of ESXi host devices.

• Compiles the VDI Operating System image for testing and deployment to the user production environment.

• Occasional on-call support in the event of an emergency situation (approximately every eight weeks.).

• Shift schedule is daily Monday - Friday

• Knowledge of Server or Desktop hardware

Requirements

Clearance: Active Top Secret Clearance6+ years equivalent experience/combined education, certification.CompTIA Security+ CECurrent Microsoft Windows 10 or VMware (VCA or VCP- preferred) certificationsAn ideal candidate would have demonstrated experience in use of Cisco UCS or Hyperflex/HX specifically.On-call support is a requirement. Surge support outside of normal business hours (EST) will be required. Normal shift schedule Monday - Friday, EST, start/end time may vary based on commute.
