Transportation Manager

The Transportation Manager will manage daily on-road driver operations, ensuring compliance, efficiency, and quality in delivery services. Reporting to the Director of Transportation, this role oversees supervisors and dispatchers, focusing on route optimization, customer service, and driver training. Key Responsibilities: Operations Management: Oversee 24/6 transportation operations, including driver assignments, call-outs, and reroutes. Compliance & Safety: Ensure adherence to company policies, FMCSA, and DOT regulations; maintain eLog records and support safety initiatives. Fleet Coordination: Manage fleet schedules and reduce downtime by optimizing vehicle usage. Team Oversight: Supervise a team of dispatchers and supervisors, ensuring operational standards and safety protocols are met. Customer Focus: Engage with customers directly when necessary to ensure quality service. Driver Training: Lead training programs, focusing on safety, compliance, and customer care. Qualifications: 5+ years in transportation management, with experience in route planning and fleet operations. Strong knowledge of eLog software (Samsara, Omnitracs), compliance, and safety management. Leadership skills with a proactive, hands-on approach.
