Network Administrator Advisor

Our work depends on a Network Administrator Advisor joining our team to design, plan, and build communications networks. A Network Administrator Advisor configures routers and switches, and firewalls for LAN and WAN systems and VPN concentrators with appropriate network engineering and communications protocols. They coordinate LAN/WAN hardware/software improvements and/or enhancements and monitor the network utilizing industry leading technologies.
A Network Administrator Advisor provides innovative methods and technical solutions using the engineering design process, as well as plan implementation of enhancements. A Network Administrator Advisor collaborates with network architects to design and implement network that meets the company's needs. Additionally, they are responsible for ensuring that the company's network runs smoothly, and have the capacity to work in leadership positions, reporting to a Chief Technology Officer or other Senior IT professional.
How a Network Administrator Advisor Will Make An ImpactMonitoring network infrastructure, troubleshooting problems, and ensuring that software and hardware are up to dateInstalling and updating network security software, and ensuring that machines communicate properlyDisplays a comprehensive understanding of communication and routing protocols to include but not limited to TCP/IP, BGP and EIGRPCollaborating with network architects to design and implement networks that meet the company's needsHas an in-depth understanding and practical knowledge of networking topologies (LAN, WAN)Experience with network diagnostic, monitoring and analysis tools (e.g., SolarWinds or other network monitoring tools)Performs maintenance and upgrade of networks including servers, routers, switches, firewalls, remote access systems, and networksAbility to analyze and evaluate networks, identify issues and provide solutions to ensure effective and efficient operationKnowledge is High Assurance Internet Protocol Encryptor (HAIPE) devicesAnalyzes customer requirements and provides technical solutions to a wide range of difficult problemsMaintains network integrity and connectivity while ensuring policy compliance; maintains system backup and recovery capabilityCreates plans and configures systems for data communication networksEvaluates new communications technologies to enhance capabilities of the networkExcellent Cisco knowledge and troubleshooting skillsMaintains current knowledge of relevant technology as assignedSolid understanding of network operating systems (Cisco IOS, etc.)What You'll Need To Succeed:
