Job Summary:

Wood's Psychiatric Residential Treatment Facility (PRTF) is an intensive mental health treatment program where children, youth or young adults who are diagnosed with severe mental, emotional, intellectual, and behavioral challenges receive 24-hour supervision and therapeutic support. Our treatment services are aimed to helping individuals develop the skills they need to effectively manage their own self-care and successfully transition into a less restrictive environment. The program is based on individualized, trauma-informed care and follows a recovery-focused approach using Behavioral Therapy, including Applied Behavioral (ABA) and Cognitive (CBT). Additionally, it incorporates a comprehensive Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT) model, with ongoing assessment of needs and risks, and offers high levels of family engagement opportunities to support successful outcomes. The Clinician provides clinical leadership in a residential treatment program in collaboration with treatment team members. Responsible for program development and implementation and the provision of individual and group psychotherapy services as well as crisis management/stabilization services. Conducts initial and follow up assessments as determined by individualized treatment needs, develops wellness plans and behavior support plans and monitors progress toward treatment goals. Provides staff education and training on individual treatment needs and topics in support of the care of program participants.

Develops, implements and supports a treatment milieu aimed to help individuals develop the skills they need to effectively manage their own self-care and successfully transition into a less restrictive environment, in collaboration with other treatment team members.Provides evidence-based individual, group and family therapy treatment services as identified in the ISP and IEP for residential students attending on-campus education programs, driving therapeutic progress with evidence-based practices.Maintains regular communication with families, providing parent coaching and support.Conducts initial and ongoing assessment of needs and risks using reliable and valid assessment tools to address the needs of the individuals served in the program.Participates in the development and monitoring of an Individual Service Plan (ISP) and Behavior Support Plan (BSP) that identifies individualized treatment goals, i.e., social, emotional, and behavioral goals for treatment, in collaboration with the program participant to facilitate participant success.Provides crisis management services that may include the facilitation of emergency psychiatric hospitalization services, when necessary; serve as the liaison to the inpatient team and facilitate the individual's return to Woods.Completes all required documentation, including, but not limited to progress notes, monthly summaries, biopsychosocial evaluations, ISP's, behavior support plans and discharge summaries.Conducts training on behavior support plans to all staff, in all disciplines involved, in the individuals care.Collects and analyzes data to monitor the efficacy of behavior change strategies.Participates in ongoing collaborative team meetings, monthly medication review meetings with the psychiatrist, primary care physician, nurse and other treatment team members and provide data to inform the team of participant progress.Oversees program completion and discharge requirements, including participation in discharge planning meetings, developing comprehensive discharge plans and reviewing them with participants and their families, and completing/providing any necessary documentation to facilitate community reintegration.Works collaboratively and maintains positive working relationships with others at all levels of the organization.Responsible to adhere to all company policies and procedures as specific in the Employee Handbook.Maintains credentials and continuing education requirements.Works varied hours based on the needs of the program.Performs other duties as assigned.Clinician I - Graduate degree in psychology or related discipline, ORClinician II - Graduate degree in psychology or related discipline.

Licensed mental health professions.License required: LPC, LCSW, LSW, Licensed Psychologist.

Familiarity with evidence-based practices.Certification in select evidence-based practices is preferred.Knowledge of psychopathology and human development.Minimum of two years' experience in the field of social services and/or working with children or adolescents.
