Summary:The role of the Human Resource Specialist - Rewards and Recognition is to support the organization and leadership team with rewards and recognition activities designed to build teams, encourage engagement, and support the WE CARE values of Covenant HealthCare. The employee will support hospital wide events, and act as a liaison with subcontracted travel agents and vendors to provide support for Covenant sponsored events. The HR Specialist- Rewards and Recognition will also support ongoing recognition activities at Covenant HealthCare, in collaboration with HR Leadership.
Responsibilities:Demonstrate excellent customer service performance in that he/she upholds the standards contained in the Vision, Mission, Values of Covenant, and commitment to Extraordinary Care for Every Generation
Monitor and reconcile rewards and recognition budget on routine basis
Consult and advise the leadership team on possible rewards and recognition activities, designed to build engagement and collaboration within the organization, and within departments.
Assist with coordination of hospital wide special events
Establish and maintain relationships with outside vendors, local business, and other organizations to promote the service and establish partnerships to benefit employees, physicians, volunteers, patients, and families.
Be the liaison between Covenant HealthCare and vendors that are providing goods and services to employees, departments, and the organization
Demonstrate successful handling, prioritizing, and resolving issues while anticipating opportunities in the future.
Lead by example, consistently conveying a positive attitude, passion and pride in work assist in creating and maintaining an atmosphere that encourages high performance, teamwork, and continual improvement, and work with Human Resource Leadership to establish goals and objectives that supports the hospital strategic plan and direction.
Continuously participate in training to deliver a high quality, customer service focused outcome.
Participate in the review, analysis, and evaluation of the program by recommending innovative solutions for improvement.
Provide routine updates of services and communication of expansion to key audiences.
Attend new hire orientation, as necessary, to promote the availability of reward and recognition services as part of the hospital's employees benefit package. Assist in organizing events to periodically promote the program and hold local vendor awareness events to promote further use of vendors.
Other duties as assigned.
Other information:EDUCATION/EXPERIENCE REQUIREMENTS:
Associate's degree in human resources, event planning, hospitality management, or related field required.
Bachelor's degree in human resources, event planning, hospitality management, or related field preferred.
Previous experience in event planning, hospitality management, or customer service leadership highly preferred.
KNOWLEDGE/SKILSS/ABILITIES:
Computer knowledge, including Microsoft Office.
Knowledge of standard office equipment.
Excellent oral and written communication skills.
Demonstrated organizational skills.
Sound judgment in handling confidential or sensitive issues and material.
Project a positive and energetic image.
