Carlson Holdings, Inc. and the Tonkawa family office, is seeking a full time Senior Investment Analyst to participate in the management of the Tonkawa-related investment portfolios and wealth planning needs of our clients. This is a generalist role that will be responsible for evaluating investment opportunities across all major asset classes. The position reports to the Senior Director, Investments and will work with the internal investments team, other internal departments, external investment managers and third party service providers.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

Play a key role in the team's investment manager due diligence process including sourcing, evaluating prospective relationships and ongoing monitoring of existing relationships - investment focus emphasizes alternative assets (e.g. hedge funds and private markets)

Re-underwrite existing managers as neededCommunicate observations with broader investment team and document notes

Perform ad hoc investment research and analysis on capital markets and asset classesMonitor market and economic events/conditionsDevelop and maintain analytical tools to enhance the team's overall research and analytical capabilitiesLearn and effectively utilize the firm's investment management software solutionsAssist in the development of investment reports and presentation materials for communications about the portfolios to committees, Boards and family membersSupport investment and risk analytics such as performance attribution and value-at-riskManage trade execution; and cash and securities transfersManage fund subscription processSupport other Tonkawa departments as neededAd hoc projects as opportunities ariseQUALIFICATIONS

Bachelor's degree in business or related field, preferably with a major in finance or economicsMinimum of five years relevant work experienceCFA Charterholder (or progress toward)Knowledge of capital markets and investmentsResearch and due diligence - experience in alternative asset classes preferredFamiliarity with investment performance measurements and calculationsAbility to work independently and manage multiple projects simultaneouslyStrong attention to detailAbility to maintain a high degree of confidentiality and unwavering ethical standardsExcellent analytical, written, oral and interpersonal communication skillsTechnologically adeptExperience with financial/investments related softwareProficiency in Microsoft Office products (Excel, Word, PowerPoint, Outlook) required
