This position will report to our EnerSys Energy Systems business, which serves the telecom, cable broadband, industrial, renewable, and data center markets. Our portfolio combines our stored energy expertise with power systems, enclosures, and renewable energy products to deliver world-class solutions for diverse applications such as 5G, broadband, Internet of Things (IoT), data center, and solar power. Our cutting-edge technology includes Lithium batteries, Fault Managed Power Systems, and Extended Run Time battery backup systems that improve the reliability and resiliency of broadband networks.

Job Purpose

Under general direction of regional and operations managers, provide technical and application support for EnerSys products and services, in the assigned area against profitable margins and in line with the business plan, in order to continue to the realization of service-related sales and service targets.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

Maintain a safe, orderly and clean work environmentReport all injuries or incidents involving subordinatesDevelops and schedules projects for efficient use of resources Materials, equipment, and employeesFollows all company policies and procedures as listed, but not limited to: warranty, safety, environmental, OSHA, DOT Hazmat, and ISO9000Ability to effectively present information in one-on-one and small group situations to customers, clients, and other employeesOversight of physical plant and service vehiclesIdentify target end-user accounts, and sell service programsCustomer relations and resolution of customer isuesDirect management of Service employees including, but not limited to: training, performance reviews, recognition, goal setting, and salary administrationInventory controlDirects and performs diagnosis and repairDevelops and coducts training on the safe operations of the equipment and demonstrates skills to trainees, including both team members and customersProvides a communication link between the customer and the company to help ensure that effective service is provided to the customerGenerates substantial annual revenuesFunctions with little directionCompletes compliance and job-specific trainingThis position supervises field support/techs and/or Shop TechniciansMentors new field supervisorsQualifications

Minimum Qualifications

5 years industry related experience2 years prior supervisory experience5 plus years of previous customer service experience and experience in field supportAble to read, write, and comprehend the English languageProficient computer knowledge of Microsoft office and internetAble to perform basic math, adding, subtracting, multiply and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, fractions, and decimals Solid mechanical and electrical aptitudeAble to problem solve equationsCollege Degree preferred but will accept High school Diploma/GED with industry related experiencePreferred Qualifications

Advanced electrical and mechanical understandingThe use of test equipment and reading schematicsexperience with ERP/SAP a plusCollege degree in related fieldGeneral Job Requirements

Must be able and willing to do overnight travelMust be able and willing to operate a forklift.This position requires you to drive a company vehicle. Therefore, you must be able to pass the company's driving requirements. Certain vehicles may also require a specific drivers license and have additional driving requirements.Must be able to differentiate colors.Must be able to frequently bend; twist; reach; stoop; kneel or crouch.Must be able to lift up to 50 pounds/23 kilos on a daily continuous basis. Anything heavier will be done with the assistance of a mechanical device or with the assistance of another employee.Must be able and willing to be on-call.Must be able and willing to work varying schedules which may include nights, weekends, and public holidays.Risk of electrical shock.This position is exposed to harmful materials such as lead/fiberglass products. Periodic blood tests are required to measure the level of lead. Precautions are taken by the company/employee to reduce the risk of exposure and help ensure everyones safety.This position requires working in a plant/warehouse environment. Therefore, expect varying working conditions.
