Job Description

As a Jr. Systems Administrator at Infotrend, you will manage server operations and ensure the functionality of all server utilities, particularly those running Windows operating systems. Your key responsibilities will include:

Server Maintenance and Configuration:

Oversee server configuration, patch management, upgrades, and availability. Identify and address potential weaknesses or gaps in system architecture to enhance operations and the end-user experience.Account and Data Management:

Provide account administration services, including user account management, email provisioning, archiving, and managing data files (creation, deletion, backup, and restoration).System Support and Troubleshooting:

Collaborate on the deployment and integration of IT systems aligned with Infotrend's mission. Support and monitor VMware Workspace ONE UEM, troubleshoot connectivity issues, and manage Network Operations Center (NOC) alerts.Backup and Recovery:

Maintain scheduled network backups and ensure data restoration for system and data recovery needs. Regularly verify the integrity of backups and perform recovery tests in compliance with government guidance.Documentation and Compliance:

Develop design documents (network diagrams, system components) and create operation manuals and training materials. Participate in organizational change management processes, ensuring all changes are recorded and approved.Collaboration and Escalation:

Work with other agencies and departments to implement federal solutions and shared services. Resolve escalated issues from the help desk and provide project support.Job Requirements

Qualifications

Security Clearance:

Must hold a TS/SCI Clearance.Experience:

2+ years of relevant systems administration experience.Education:

Bachelor's degree in IT or a related field.Certification:

At least one certification such as M365A, CCNA, or Server+.Technical Skills:Proficient in SCCM/MECM for deployments and maintenance.Experience with enterprise backup solutions, tape management, and virtual tape solutions.Familiar with racking hardware, cabling (copper/fiber), and monitoring data center operations.Strong understanding of virtualization (VMware) and Active Directory, Group Policy, DNS, DFS, and both clustered and standalone servers.Expertise in Windows ACLs, permissions, analyzing system logs, and troubleshooting.Skilled in creating system documentation and following standard operating procedures.

Desired Qualifications

Additional Technical Skills:Experience with Commercial Off-The-Shelf (COTS) software deployment and integration.Knowledge of vulnerability remediation and Windows image creation/deployment.Familiarity with Windows domain migration and data consolidation.Background in data migration and backup management.

Professional Development:

Ability to obtain Scrum Master certification within 6 months of employment.

Security Clearance: Top Secret

The salary for this position ranges from $65,000 to $78,000 annually. The exact salary offered will depend on your qualifications, experience, and alignment with the responsibilities of the role.
