We service clients in SLED (state/local gov't & education), financial services, fortune, public utility, as well as regularly partnering with Big 4 SI partners.

for a short-term contract.

Must work on our W2Remote role but may require travel to New York 1-2x's per monthProject scheduled to begin 1/13/2025

Work Summary:Supports the GL/COA Lead to complete activities to create the COA usage analysis which is a summary of current state segment usage to inform and define the future state COA structure.

Skills and capabilities:

Experience with Oracle EBS and/or Oracle Could ERP, specifically with Project Accounting and General Ledger integration with respect to accounting rulesExperience with business process and internal control designKnowledge of U.S. GAAP accounting and reporting rules and regulationsKnowledge of SEC rules and regulationsKnowledge of FERC accounting rules and regulationsKnowledge of Sarbanes Oxley and internal control designProficiency in Microsoft tools including Visio, PowerPoint, and ProjectsCertified Public Accountant (CPA) encouraged but not requiredExperience with all or any of the following (would want specifics examples): FERC accounting, GAAP to FERC mapping and reconciliation, SEC reporting, wholesale energy trading accounting, retail energy accounting, utility capital asset accounting

Given the role has a duration that extends beyond many or all of the core Client business process staff, the experience is critical as the resource will be the primary day-to-day client interface. Without changing the staffing shape, we would be representing our business process for accounting and tax primarily with a sub.
