Duties:

Serve as the point of contact for Workers' Comp related questions for internal Clinic, Administrative, Call Center, and Front Desk teamsProvide medical documentation (e.g., office notes, orders, work statuses, surgical/injection recommendations) to adjusters, attorneys, and injured workersEnsure daily work statuses are received at each location.Coordinating case management activities including but not limited to request and follow up on prior authorizations for surgeries, injections, clearances, imaging, procedures, facilitating referrals to outside providers, and scheduling patients.Updating the appointment comments with the most accurate updates for our clinical staff and other departmentsUpdating the surgery tracking system with inputting new recommendations and providing updates on the status of approval/schedulingUpdating the active claims tracking system with the most recent treatment planResponsible for creating and sending Request for Medical Treatment 205's via email and fax to adjustersResponsible for uploading important documents such as authorizations, denials, etc. to the correct place in the medical software programsResponsible for providing weekly metrics data for the departmentRetrieving prior medical records for new patients, Independent Medical Exams, and outside appointmentsDirect scheduling requests to the Workers Compensation Assistant in a timely manner. This is not limited to gathering all the necessary information prior from the insurer/attorney and creating the new patient profile.Coordinate scheduling of Independent Medical Exams; ensure payment, previous medical records and imaging are received prior to appointments.Following up with the insurer and/or attorney on outside appointments being scheduled such a Physical Therapy, MRI/CT, Neurology, Psychology, Cardiology, Primary Care, ENT, IME, etc.Coordinate meeting with outside vendors/facilities, insurers, and attorneysUtilization of other skill sets (e.g. speak a foreign language, mastery of Microsoft office) maybe required.And any other responsibilities assigned by your manager.Skills

Possess a positive, helpful attitude and ability to discuss issues with physicians and relay information.Must be extremely organized and able to adjust priorities as the needs arise.Ability to work independently with minimal supervision and with a sense of urgency.Ability to complete assigned tasks under stressful situations.Ability to perform work accurately and thoroughly and in a timely fashion.Ability to communicate effectively with others clearly and concisely both orally and in writing.Job Requirements:

College Degree PreferredCWCP certification preferred3-5 years' experience working with complex workers' compensation claims in a multi-state environment.

Must be knowledgeable in the Workers Compensation State Board documents and when to use them.
